Tiffany Davis, Customer Contact Representative II (CCR), has been with GUC for seven years. Our CCRs are often a customer's first contact with GUC, either in person or on the phone. New customers work with CCRs to have electric, water, wastewater, and/or natural gas turned on. CCRs also receive all applications for new and existing residential, commercial, and industrial customers. In addition, they respond to customer inquiries, as well as bill service fees and deposits. Tiffany's current location is at our Call Center at Operations, where she works with customers over the phone. With her recent promotion to CCR II, Tiffany also assists with training new CCRs.  

FUN FACT! Tiffany loves to sing but claims that she’s not very good at it. 

What are your favorite things about your job? I enjoy working with customers and helping them solve problems.  

What did you want to be when you were younger? A nurse. 

What is your proudest career accomplishment? Joining GUC. I came from banking, and this is totally different. I really enjoy our GUC customers much better! 

What was your very first job? Working in a nursing home while I was in high school. 

What advice do you offer to those who are new to the utility industry? Make sure you practice safety. 

What is your favorite family or holiday tradition? We like to go to Christmas parades, and as many as we can each year. 

Do you have a favorite family recipe? No, because I don’t cook! 

What would you like us to know about your family? My husband, Joshua Jones, and I have been married for a year now. My oldest daughter, Tyrah, is attending East Carolina University for a degree in social work; and my nine-year-old son, Jayden, enjoys playing tennis. 

Have you ever had a nickname? What is it? My family nicknamed me Tipp (not Tiff) when I was younger, and it just stuck. I’m not sure why! 

Who is your favorite band or singer? R&B artist, Monica. 

Who is your hero? My dad is my hero because he fought a good fight against cancer. He passed at 49. 

What have been your favorite travel destinations? Jamaica, and I’m going back this summer with my kids. 

What would you do if you won the lottery? I would buy an island and relax. 

Is there a celebrity you’d like to meet? Morris Chestnut 

Do you collect anything or have any hobbies? I like to shop online. 

What emoji do you use the most? The heart emoji. 

What app do you use the most? Facebook. 

What’s your favorite thing to do when not at work? Nap. 

What is at the top of your bucket list? Skydiving. 

If given the chance, what time period would you want to want to live in? This one. 

What’s your favorite season of the year? Spring. 

What’s your favorite snack? Snickers bar. 

Do have you have a favorite sports team? Whichever team Labron James plays for. 

What is your favorite restaurant? Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. 

What is your favorite movie? A League of Their Own.
